To use your Sepior KMaaS to encrypt the data you store in Amazon S3, you need two things:
- An account with Amazon Web Services with access keys for programmatic (API) access
- An account with Sepior – sign up for our free trial
- Follow the instructions for using our Amazon S3 plugin
Bring your own key to Amazon S3
Amazon supports two different ways for their users to do data-at-rest encryption for the data they store in S3:
Use an Amazon KMS-managed customer master key
Use a client-side master key
(See Amazon S3 documentation).
