Encrypting data on Amazon S3

Get started using our Amazon S3 plugin

To use your Sepior KMaaS to encrypt the data you store in Amazon S3, you need two things:

  1. An account with Amazon Web Services with access keys for programmatic (API) access
  2. An account with Sepior – sign up for our free trial
  3. Follow the instructions for using our Amazon S3 plugin

Bring your own key to Amazon S3

Amazon supports two different ways for their users to do data-at-rest encryption for the data they store in S3:

Use an Amazon KMS-managed customer master key
Use a client-side master key
(See Amazon S3 documentation).
